Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry and state lawmakers announced Monday they will not comply with new Title IX rules recently imposed by the Biden administration, which extend the protections meant for female athletes to those who identify as transgender. “We do not intend to comply,” he said.
Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Landry says his state’s leadership is prepared to challenge the new rules. “We look forward to this fight, because you know what? This fight is right,” he said.
