Fortnite players will need to hunt down Beastmaster Saber in order to get the Mythic Thermal Rifle, and here is how!
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 adds a plethora of new content to the cartoon battle royale. But it’s also removed one of Fortnite’s foundational mechanics: building.
As a result, players are having to focus more on their aim and mobility. The more damage a player can deal, the less time they have to spend in combat.
That’s why many players will be seeking the aid of Mythic boss weapons. There are currently three boss weapons in Fortnite, and this article will teach players how to find the Mythic Thermal Rifle.

Beastmaster Saber location in Fortnite
The Mythic Thermal Rifle is held by Beastmaster Saber, a new NPC introduced in Season 2. He can be found in the new POI Command Cavern.
More specifically, he can be found patrolling the zeppelin suspended above the cavern. This is a closed-quarters POI, and Saber’s moveset can be very dangerous.
Outside of his Mythic Rifle, Saber also has a special melee attack. He will teleport close to the player and unleash a flurry of slashes dealing a ton of damage.
In order to defeat Saber, players will want to keep on the move and take cover whenever he is firing. There are plenty of nearby objects for the player to duck behind if need be. As well, make sure to use an SMG or Rifle as getting close enough to use a shotgun is not recommended.

Once defeated, Beastmaster Saber will drop his Mythic Thermal Rifle. There are also plenty of Siege Cannons nearby, so players can make a quick getaway or rotate to storm.

Gunnar location in Fortnite
Gunnar has returned in Fortnite Season 2, and he’s in the exact same spot he was last season. Patrolling the depths of Command Cavern, players will have to get through a couple of IO guards to get to Gunnar.
Command Cavern houses two bosses. Beastmaster Saber is found in the zeppelin atop the mountain, and Gunnar is underground.
Gunnar has the Mythic Stinger SMG he had last season. He also has his deadly rocket punch maneuver which players will need to avoid.
Like with most bosses, players should use a Rifle or SMG to keep their distance. A Rifle would be most ideal as Gunnar’s SMG doesn’t allot him long-range combat.

Once defeated, Gunnar will drop his Mythic Stinger SMG. Players will want to wipe him out quickly as there arent many escape routes to avoid the storm or other players.

- Pink Rift: allows you to activate a Rift
- Yellow Cloud: Reveal Future Storm Circle
