After two years of restrictions, Madrid’s LGBTQ+ Pride demonstration flooded the streets once again on July 9, under the slogan “Facing Hate: Visibility, Pride and Resilience.” More than 600,000 attendees enjoyed an event that has become an essential part of the capital’s summers, mixing protest with music and celebration. One of the largest Pride marches in Europe, it gathers people of all generations and backgrounds to revel in diversity and resistance.
