Bullet Train and Top Gun: Maverick led a slow weekend at the domestic box office that saw no new films break into the top five.

As reported by Variety, Bullet Train took first place once again after securing victory in its debut last weekend and managed to bring in $13.1 million. The Brad Pitt-led film has earned $54.4 million at the domestic box office so far.

It actually ended up being the only film this weekend that broke the $10 million milestone, and the last time that happened was the weekend of February 11, 2022, when Death on the Nile was the only movie to do so with $12.3 million.

Top Gun: Maverick took advantage of the less than stellar competition and managed to pull off a second-place finish in its 12th week in action. It brought in $7.1 million and that helped its domestic total reach $673.8 million. With this latest influx of ticket sales, Top Gun: Maverick is only about $5 million away from passing Avengers: Infinity War as the sixth-highest grossing movie in domestic box office history.

DC League of Super-Pets earned $6.86 million on its way to a third-place finish, and Nope and Thor: Love and Thunder rounded out the top five.

Bodies Bodies Bodies and Fall were the two big new films to enter the ring this weekend, and they only managed to make it to eighth-place with $3.2 million and tenth-place with $2.5 million, respectively.
